On Monday, May 26, at 8:03 pm PT, we’ll experience the New Moon at 6° of Gemini, opening us to Gemini’s flexible and adaptable air-like quality—where bridging new ideas comes with ease. This lunation invites us to realign with the power of engaging in studies and conversations that nourish both intellect and spirit.

Gemini’s communicative capacity is heightened under this New Moon because Mercury, its traditional ruler, is also conjunct the lunation at 2° of Gemini. Mercury is the radiant messenger, offering insight, curiosity, and versatility in service to greater understanding and unity. Often called a twilight planet, Mercury rules the in-between zones: crossroads, transitions, doorways, and states of consciousness.

In Greek mythology, it was Hermes (Mercury) who guided souls between the worlds—from the land of the living to the underworld and back. This makes Mercury the original soul guide, especially potent during moments of transition, grief, birth, or awakening.

Adding to the depth of this lunation, just two hours before the New Moon, we witness a conjunction between Eris and Chiron in Aries. When Chiron, the Wounded Healer, meets Eris, the Goddess of Discord, we’re invited into a deep reckoning with the parts of ourselves that have been silenced, exiled, or misunderstood. This conjunction surfaces old pain tied to voice, visibility, and belonging to liberate the truth beneath the wound.

And just two days before the New Moon, on Saturday, May 24, Saturn completed its 2.5-year journey through Pisces and entered Aries, where it will travel closely with Neptune for the next year. This ingress calls us to take responsibility for our becoming—to commit to bold new beginnings with maturity, focus, and integrity, where action is sacred, grounded, and purpose-driven. Saturn in Aries has the potential to shape us into more conscious, embodied leaders, especially when we choose courage over control and alignment over urgency.
