Full Moon in Aries (Full Moon of the Libra Season)
Inter-deepen-dance
As the fire of Aries lights up the October sky, we find ourselves standing at the threshold between self and other, assertion and harmony, I and we. Full Moons bring illumination; they reveal what’s ready to be seen, felt, and integrated. This lunation calls us to remember that becoming whole is rarely effortless; it’s an unfolding dance between courage and care, independence and interdependence. Or as I like to say...inter-deepen-dance.
The Aries–Libra axis reminds us that we need both ends of the spectrum to grow. Aries invites boldness, instinct, and the willingness to act on truth. Libra teaches us the art of balance, how to bring grace and awareness to the heat of our truth. We need the tension of this polarity; we need the Full Moon’s bright spotlight on both sides to transform. The path to wholeness is found in the ongoing, messy synthesis of opposites, where our individuality is shaped and refined through the mirror of relationship.
This Full Moon offers the opportunity to see ourselves more clearly, to recognize who we are and who we’re becoming through the reflections and resistances around us. It’s a powerful moment to honor both the strength of your independence and the beauty of your connections. We need both.
Adding another layer of depth, Mercury enters Scorpio on the same day as the Full Moon, joining Mars, who has already been traveling through its ruling sign. Our words and thoughts grow sharper, more intuitive, and more revealing. Conversations can pierce beneath the surface, uncovering what’s been hidden. This alignment supports courageous honesty, the kind that heals by naming what is real.
Just two days later, on October 8, Chiron and Eris unite again in Aries, the second of three conjunctions (the first on May 26, 2025; the final on March 16, 2026). This meeting between the Wounded Healer and the Goddess of Discord awakens themes of reclamation, truth-telling, and radical self-acceptance.Healing under this sky demands both tenderness and disruption. We are being invited to listen to the parts of us that have felt exiled, and to bring them home with fierce compassion.
